If I Use A C35 Studio Fix

THE CASES OF Oliviero Toscani - the journey of ecological cardboard furnishings, from shoeboxes at home design

It is likely that 2008 will be remembered for ' waste crisis that has devastated the Campania region and the impact of which was struck in an oblique way, the whole of Italy. The edges of the streets flooded with piles of bags blacks and blue and the mountains of garbage at the gates of the house are images that will be hard to forget. But their cruelty has brought the focus of a problem in Italy, and beyond, are taking getting bigger: the disposal of waste. And, consequently, the costs paid by the environment and health.
A third of the waste solid waste produced in Italy is made up of packages, the ones that wrap the goods every day and those that are used in industry. By layers of cellophane used for food or magazines, from polystyrene trays with plastic bags, more than 12 million tons of waste such that, each year, clogging up the mechanisms for the disposal and recovery. It is true that the packaging is used: it contains, protects, preserves, transports, informs, and communicates well. But it is not sustainable.

The road is therefore the one that leads to the reduction of what is now produced by an excessive use of packaging materials, as shown the boom of the phenomenon of " ecospesa " bulk purchase of products that are normally only available in the package. But so be it any kind of new developments that propose an reuse. All the better if these ideas can then combine ecological sensitivity and aesthetic together.
is the case of the shoe Marche Manas, which in its stores makes a very curious proposal, developed by Peter Pellegrini labs creative Oliviero Toscani . The Manas has achieved seven shops cardboard - five in Italy, two in the Far East - introducing the world of interior design and architecture an original, elegant and functional, which is valued at the same time as the key signal of respect for the environment. It is true that this is clearly an image campaign, but the message can also help to promote a different ecological awareness, careful not only to the environment.
The cardboard used for boxes of shoes is in fact recycled to create shelves, shelves, cabinets, display shelves, wall coverings that do not have much to envy to the most precious materials. It may represent an interesting idea for the decoration of domestic interiors.
